Dave Carnovale aka Cucial D aka Dubnosis is an audio professional with many facets of experience under his belt. As a long-time Disc Jockey he is as comfortable in a small sweaty bar or club as he is on stage playing to a festival crowd. As a Music Producer he is familiar with modern digital studios and production techniques, with over 5 LP's to his credit. And as an AV Installation Expert he has worked on all types of PA systems including live music mixing and sound re-enforcement and systems with complex video projection content.

Dave has worked professionally as a DJ in Sydney and abroad for 18 years. Depending on the venue and / or event, he may be dropping anything from up-front dancefloor breaks, fat funk, afro-beats, hip hop, dancehall reggae, jazzy latin & soul beats, electro-pop or any number of fusions across these styles.

“I like to explore versatility in the mix for any occasion. The intention is to take the listeners on a journey, as there is an unlimited amount of quality music available over many genres. Add to this the fact that today punters are more discerning, they've had more exposure to good sounds over 25 years of electronic dance music. The whole aim is to entertain, enlighten and expand knowledge while keeping a full dance-floor.

Endorsed since 2002 by Jands Electronics as the Australian endorsee for all DJ related items from Stanton Electronics, originally being the ambassador for the Final Scratch digital DJ system and currently demonstrates the new SCS1 and SCS3 midi controllers.

Dave was a co-founder of Sydney outfit Wicked Beat Sound System in 1992. After honing production skills, tracks were first released in 1995. Dave's involvement encompassed the release of 5 albums, 7 singles, 22 remixes for other artists and nominations for 3 ARIA awards including the 2003 Best Dance Release Award for 'New Soul Breaks', (Roadshow Music, distributed nationally by Sony Distribution).

He co-managed the ‘Wicked Beat Records' sound studio from 1994 to 2004, completing numerous TV, Film and Radio Ad Jingles as well as countless production projects for various artists and record companies.

As ‘Crucial D' he has tracks out on the ‘Longrain 2' compilation and two tracks on the all-Australian ‘Below The Above' compilation. In 2007 Future Classic included the track ‘Yoruba Gold' as the lead tune on the Future Classic Attractions' compilation. As ‘Dubnosis' he has had tracks released through ‘Latenite Lounging' Records based in Brighton, United Kingdom (Sept 08). Most recently Jazztronik in Japan selected the track ‘Dub Africa' for his recent ‘Lovetronica! mix CD.
